Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Fundraiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to help us reach more people affected by cancer in the Wessex region. You will be responsible for identifying corporate, trust, and major donor opportunities and working with colleagues to maximize their potential. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of public relations, and the ability to market our initiatives effectively.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and deliver fundraising activities, including events, campaigns, and challenge events to maximize income for the charity.
2. Build an understanding of the local community and tailor strategy and activities accordingly.
3. Take a proactive approach to grow our supporter base, networking to build and develop relationships with key local supporters and those with influence in the community.
4. Approach companies for corporate partnerships in consultation with the Head of Major Partnerships.
5. Support, motivate, and develop volunteers to undertake fundraising activities and build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential donors.
6. Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling materials that promote fundraising initiatives.
7. Provide exceptional customer service to donors and stakeholders, ensuring a positive experience.
8. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising campaigns, making adjustments as necessary.
Qualifications
1. Proven experience in fundraising or a related field.
2. Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
3. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on donor satisfaction.
4. Strong public relations skills with the ability to represent the organization positively in various settings.
5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
6. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
