Position:
An opportunity has arisen for permanent Business Support Assistant based at University Hospital Crosshouse.
What you will do:
This role within the team is instrumental in ensuring the flow of communication, from a variety of sources projecting a positive, professional image for the whole function and in particular when acting as first point of contact for the Service.
You will provide comprehensive, confidential administrative service to a range of clinical teams across East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership. You will work proactively on own initiative with a flexible and positive attitude, in conjunction with other team members including internal/external agencies.
You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors / callers to the Service, ensuring that all enquiries are dealt with promptly and efficiently, providing a positive image, ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times and adhere to all organisational policies and procedures.
You will provide a comprehensive, confidential Business Support service to clinicians and other members of the Allied Health Professionals. (Physiotherapy / Occupational Therapy / Speech & Language Therapy / Dietetics / Orthotics / Podiatry). You will provide and coordinate a service for the supply, repair, maintenance and replacement of medical, surgical and Orthopaedic Appliances prescribed for patients by Orthotists within national and locally agreed guidelines.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You will have an SVQ 3 or equivalent in Business Administration OR equivalent demonstrable experience. You must demonstrate an understanding of the services provided by the Health and Social Care Partnership and have experience of working with members of the public.
