Role: Trainee Tutor/ Trainee Behavioural Therapist/ Trainee Psychologist (Part Time)

We are looking for a Behavioural Therapist/tutor to support our 5.5-year-old son in Houghton Regis, Dunstable. This is a part time role (approx. 15-20 hours per week), ideal for someone who has a strong understanding and knowledge of behavioural science fundamentals and also a passion for working with children with autism. You will be working under the guidance of a Board-Certified Behavioural Analyst (BCBA) supervisor who will train you to work with an autistic child. You will also get training from SLT (speech and language) and OT (occupational Therapist) professionals to deliver SLT and OT sessions to the child on regular basis.

Essentials:

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
● Education- Must be studying Behavioural science degree preferably Psychology.
● Willingness to actively participate in workshops and training as required.
● Time Management- someone organised, punctual, and able to manage data collection, diaries, and analytics effectively.
● IT Skills – Comfortable using MS Office, printing, and other IT equipment.
Role Responsibilities:
● Childcare – Helping with feeding, cleaning, and changing nappies as needed.
● Communication – Strong interpersonal skills to engage with the child and family effectively.
● Housekeeping – Light duties including sorting toys, cleaning the play area, and some light cooking.
● Health & Safety – Must adhere to site hygiene, safety, and security requirements at all times.
● Understand and support the child’s emotional well-being in both the presence and absence of parents.
● Cultural Awareness – A respectful and inclusive approach towards different cultures and beliefs.
● Response- Able to assess situations quickly and take the right actions in the case of emergency.
