JobSummary:
The Welfare& Benefits service has a clear purpose to deliver and beresponsible for administering Housing Benefit and Council TaxSupport scheme in accordance with Government legislation case lawand local policy and in doing so contribute to the provision offinancial support for the most vulnerable members of thecommunity.
KeyDuties/Accountabilities:
Knowledge oflegislation and practice for either revenues and benefitsadministration or both with skills to interpret and apply newlegislation to the Council asrequired
Awareness ofconfidentiality with regard to personal information with particularreference to the Data ProtectionAct.
Demonstrableevidence of experience of undertaking a role where the use oftechnology and software packages was a feature of thatrole.
EssentialExperienceRequired:
Experience ofdelivering a Technical Support & Controls function withtechnical experience in relation to the software utilised by eitherrevenues & benefits orboth.
Experience ofundertaking bulk processes for revenues and/or benefits includingannual billing / uprating direct debit and payment management andall batch process setup.
