We are looking for a teacher with a genuine passion for the creative arts, to inspire and guide students in film-making, TV, podcasts, print media and drama. Our new, state-of-the-art creative media suite, created with input from Bournemouth University’s media team, is exceptional for a secondary school and includes:
· Green screen
· JVC HM-180 cameras
· Datavideo tablet prompter
· NewTek TriCaster TC Mini 4k
· Podcast and radio studio
· High-spec PCs running the Adobe suite, RTX 3060 graphics cards and other top-end software
We want students to work to real-life creative briefs and have the contacts locally to make this happen. We want to be entering (and winning!) local and national film-making competitions, making use of the strengths of our talented students. Creative media sits alongside our truly outstanding performing arts department, which has an excellent reputation locally, produces sell-out shows, participates in national competitions and draws skilled dramatic performances from students - we want the same for creative media. We have the lights, we have the cameras, we need the action!
As our Creative Media Teacher, you will work closely with colleagues on making this vision a reality and will be given management time to collaborate for creative purposes. Creative Media is taught across KS3, alongside digital literacy, and at KS4 as the BTEC in Creative Media Production. This is already our most popular option subject, despite only having been running for two years.
For this post we would accept graduates who we would be willing to support through teacher training.
