Core Subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN/SEND Tutors Needed – Home & Local Authority Tuition TP Tutors is looking for dedicated SEN/SEND tutors to provide 1:1 tuition in homes and schools for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and other additional needs. We have multiple positions available, with ongoing hiring to meet the diverse needs of our students. The Role We are seeking passionate tutors to provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to students who have been referred to us due to SEND, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs), MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), or other additional needs. Flexible hours available – work part-time or full-time to fit your schedule. Home-based, school-based, and online tutoring opportunities. Opportunities for CPD, including access to the full Tes CPD suite while working with us. Ongoing support from our dedicated SEN/SEND team to ensure successful placements. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging, tailored lessons to students on a 1:1 basis. Plan and adapt sessions to meet individual learning and emotional needs. Use a trauma-informed approach to support student progress. Provide lesson reports and regular feedback on student development. Work collaboratively with local authorities, schools, and families to support each student’s unique learning journey. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS preferred. Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience. Experience working with students with SEND, SEMH, MLD, or SLD. Understanding of safeguarding and ability to follow protocols.
