About the Position
Reporting to the CFO, we are seeking a personable, motivated, self-driven individual who sees this as an excellent entry point into an AIM listed setting. Your role will be broad and varied including financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, financial analysis, compliance, and team leadership.
On a day to day basis you will:
* Prepare, review, and analyse monthly, quarterly, interim and annual financial statements.
* Able to provide comprehensive financial insights and reports to the board.
* Lead the annual budgeting process and work closely with department heads to monitor budget performance and provide detailed rolling forecasts.
* Cash flow management.
* Manage and review all tax compliance activities, including production of annual tax packs, tax calculations and R&D tax credits.
* You will lead, develop and support the finance team.
* Implement and maintain effective internal controls.
* You will provide detailed commercial insights to support strategic initiatives.
* Oversee the external audits and liaise with audit teams.
* Proactively identify opportunities for efficiencies and process improvements, implementing changes to enhance financial operations.
* You will work closely with the Senior leadership team, offering strategic recommendations to improve the financial performance of the Group.
* Play a key role in the ESG committee to help create policies and bridge the gap between the financial reporting requirements and the operational requirements of the Group.
Requirements
Key skills to be successful in the role:
* Fully Qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
* Proficient in ERP systems, Microsoft packages, Advanced Excel and PowerBI.
* Understanding of payroll and payroll systems to support the finance team.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Proven experience working as a Financial Controller or similar within a manufacturing environment.
* Pro-active and hands-on - looking for a role where you can have an impact and add value.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
* Have experience of setting up and maintaining financial controls.
