Who We Are
The CITI Equities Risk Technology Team globally supports the Equities Front Office Risk Management systems, providing the business with capabilities to manage market data and Risk and PnL. We are undertaking a multi-year initiative to upgrade their Equities Risk front-to-back infrastructure. The IT team is a key partner to the business and is a major contributor to its success and future growth. The team is undertaking a multi-year revamp of the platform, to support business expansion plans, to be the best in class across the street. To support this transformation, additional funding is being invested in front-end technology and a number of new and exciting green field projects have been initiated. In line with this initiative, the Global Equities Technology Department are currently looking to hire an experienced Front End Developer in London (Canary Wharf Office) to become a key member of the Equities Risk and Market Data platform team.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Senior/Lead Developer (VP Level) to work and lead several user interface transformation within the Equities Risk and Market data world. The team works in an agile manner, self-organise their work with BAs, speaking directly with business users across the globe and have good autonomy over technology decisions. They own the continuous delivery pipeline through to production and strive to release frequently into production.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop scalable and extensible UI software using Typescript/React iteratively, from an idea through to production.
* Collaborate with the rest of the team, frequently pairing.
* Build strong relationships with business users through understanding the challenges that they face, then design and build systems that will allow them to overcome them.
* Produce clean efficient code based on the specifications.
* Strive to improve and share best engineering practice across the wider technology team.
* Frontend: React and Typescript - experience with hooks and ES6 would be preferred. Some applications also use GraphQL.
* Platform: The UI layer is deployed within Kubernetes/OpenShift container.
* Best practices around QA techniques are expected to be utilised with unit testing, e2e testing.
* The team also push for fully automated testing, continuous integration and git-based development and would want the developer to have experience of working in such an environment.
* Experience with TDD, BDD and agile practices.
Education:
* University degree or equivalent experience preferred.
