First Achieve's Engineering Division has an excellent opportunity for a Press Brake Operator to join an established and growing company in the Glasgow region. Our client is a national manufacturer, dedicated to top-quality door solutions for a diverse range of sectors including Shipbuilding, Navy Supply, Oil & Gas, and offshore Wind Energy Projects.
What's on Offer:
1. Offering £17ph while temporary then once permanent £14.50
2. Temp to Permanent role
3. 40hr work week
4. 5 working days (early Friday finish)
5. 7am to 4:30pm Mon to Thurs, 7am to 12pm Fri
Role Responsibilities:
1. Operate and set up press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal according to specifications.
2. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine the required specifications for each job.
3. Use hand tools and machinery to fabricate, assemble, grind, and weld components as needed.
4. Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
5. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while maintaining quality standards.
6. Perform basic mathematical calculations for measurements and adjustments during the fabrication process.
7. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workshop environment.
Minimum Requirements:
Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing setting.
