As a Chef, you’ll be working with the catering team to provide our customers with experiences that are memorable for all the right reasons. Our Chefs are responsible for ensuring the smooth day to day running of the kitchen and catering services within the village and most importantly for producing food that is delicious as well as nutritious and attractively presented. Good communication skills with the ability to communicate to a variety of people with different needs. Basic numeracy and literacy skills to be able to control stocks and follow procedures. Good customer care skills. Basic IT skills to be able to process orders. Ability to undertake moving & handling of loads including the operation of commercial catering equipment. Experience of catering for large numbers e.g. 50 or more. Good understanding of the dietary needs of older people or people with a physical, cognitive or sensory impairment. Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate. Basic Food Hygiene certificate. Good understanding of H&S Regulations, COSHH and HACCP. NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Professional Cooking.
