Legal counsel: in-house commercial contracts lawyer

Your new companyThis international company with a strong UK and European presence has an expanding legal team based in the Midlands. A newly created opportunity to join as legal counsel presents an excellent opportunity for a talented commercial lawyer to develop their skills in-house.Your new roleYou will join a high calibre and credible team providing a range of legal advice and support for both operational and corporate service departments. Your duties will include drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts including IT contracts, outsourcing arrangements, supplier agreements and cross-border interactions. You will work closely with Senior Legal Counsel and the General Counsel with a core focus on supporting with IT contracts. You will also be expected to support and sometimes lead on various legal projects.What you'll need to succeedYou will be a UK qualified solicitor who is available to work onsite in the Midlands office on a hybrid basis, easily commutable from Coventry, Leicester, Royal Leamington Spa, Warwick, Birmingham, Solihull and Redditch. You must have good quality commercial contracts experience gained either in private practice or in-house and be willing to adapt and learn new areas of law to work effectively in a broad legal counsel role. You will ideally have trained with a well-regarded law firm or an established in-house department with hand-on experience dealing with IT contracts.
