Ø This role is a good opportunity for the right person to progress within the firm. Paralegals in this team often go on to secure training contracts with us, or other firms due to the fantastic training and experience offered. Ø The successful candidate will be involved in day-to-day general management of the clients' affairs, and in many cases will act as a primary point of contact for the client. Ø Working on mostly contentious cases; the successful candidate will manage an allocated case load of clients alongside a senior member of the team and will be expected to daily tasks including - Daily Duties include:
* Drafting routine and non-routine applications to the Court of Protection
* Assisting senior members of the team with discrete tasks as required;
· Office administration (e.g., diary management, taking minutes from meetings) · Preparing/updating court bundles · Drafting correspondence/court documents with supervision · Conducting legal research · Dealing with funding related matters · Liaising with clients, the court, and other relevant parties to the proceedings including advising the Official Solicitor.
· A degree in Law or equivalent qualification · Some experience in the legal field, particularly in Court of Protection · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Strong organisational skills and attention to detail · Ability to manage a diverse workload and work to tight deadlines · Commitment to providing exceptional client service · Full and clean driving licence and has access to a vehicle · Passion to be a strong team player with the ability to work independently,
