Our client is a leading provider of support services for individuals with learning disabilities, committed to empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives. They are seeking an experienced Trainer/Assessor to join their team in Warrington and play a crucial role in the continued personal development of learners through the design and implementation of an accredited employability training program, with ongoing assessment and monitoring of learners progress.
As the Trainer/Assessor your key responsibilities will include:
* Developing an accredited training programme for individuals with learning disabilities and autism with a strong focus on employability skills and personal development.
* Assessing learners skills and providing feedback to ensure progress towards achieving vocational qualifications.
* Develop tailored individual learning plans (ILPs) to meet the specific needs and abilities of each learner.
* Monitoring learner progress, providing one-to-one support and guidance, and ensuring learners achieve their potential.
* Reviewing and updating training materials to ensure they meet the needs of learners and align with current qualifications standards.
* Supporting learners in preparing for external assessments, ensuring that they are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to succeed.
* Working collaboratively with other staff members to develop new training opportunities and initiatives.
* Maintaining accurate records of learner progress, assessments, and qualifications in line with regulatory requirements.
* Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages independence, confidence, and self-esteem.
To be successful in this role, the Trainer/Assessor will have the following experience:
* Proven experience in developing training programmes and assessing learner progress, preferably in an education, social care, or vocational training setting. Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities or autism is highly desirable.
* A relevant qualification in teaching or assessing (e.g., Level 3 Award in Education and Training, Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement, or equivalent).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a wide range of learners.
* Patience, empathy, and a commitment to providing person-centred support.
* Ability to adapt training techniques to meet the diverse needs of learners.
* A proactive, problem-solving approach to overcoming challenges in training and assessment.
