We have a current requirement for an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor to join our Projects division based in Glasgow. The overall purpose of the role is to supervise on-time electrical regulatory tasks, to budget, to fully satisfy customer requirements. This role will support the Construction Manager and the Projects business stream to drive service delivery that will be recognised by the client and ensure key performance targets and SLAs are maintained.
Main duties and responsibilities
* Responsible for the day-to-day regulatory supervision of delivery teams within the respective structure.
* Carry out the duties of the Qualifying Supervisor Role to maintain NICEIC accreditation via AMTECH reporting mechanism.
* Carry out the role of ESR Approved Person (AP).
* Be responsible for reporting designated electrical regulatory work fronts to relevant senior management.
* Report compliance issues to the Electrical Director on an ongoing basis.
* Submit bi-weekly QS tracker to the Electrical Director and meet as and when requested to discuss electrical compliance within their respective areas.
* Be responsible for completing NICEIC yearly audit to maintain accreditation.
* Maintain calibration of all electrical test instruments.
* Liaise with senior internal stakeholders regarding designated regulatory delivery.
* Responsible for communicating with the internal and wider business on regulatory issues.
* Ensure all designated client assets worked on/inspected out turn with compliance to the current electrical regulations and WIMES specification.
To be considered for this position, you will have at least 2-3 years of previous experience within a similar electrical role. You will have an excellent knowledge and understanding of electrical construction to WIMES Specification. Candidates must possess a minimum of 18th Edition wiring regulations as well as a full UK driving license.
