We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a two-form entry primary school in Westminster. This role will focus on supporting children across Key Stage 1 (KS1) with an emphasis on phonics.
About the role
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support to students in KS1, focusing on phonics intervention.
2. Assist the class teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering phonics-based activities.
3. Support children with specific learning needs, helping to create an inclusive and nurturing environment.
4. Monitor and track individual student progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
5. Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages student confidence and independence.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Learning Support Assistant you will:
1. Experience supporting students in a primary school setting, particularly in phonics.
2. A relevant qualification such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable, but not essential).
The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
1. Previous experience supporting children in a primary school setting, ideally within KS1.
