Reports to Financial Reporting Manager

The purpose of this position is to carry out routine day-to-day accounting of fund structures under the direction of a Financial Reporting Manager.
Key responsibilities:
1. Bookkeep a complex range of funds, management companies and associated fund structures and liaise with clients and intermediaries.
2. Complete all aspects of accounting matters for a portfolio of fund structures, including the preparation, reconciliation and proofing of investor reports, statutory financial statements, and ad hoc investor queries.
3. Deal with the completion of routine audit queries.
4. Prepare periodic bank reconciliations and provide supporting documentation evidencing transactions are completed within a robust control environment.
5. Maintain accurate records on eFront and Microsoft Excel working paper schedules for all aspects of accounting.
6. Ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices and other payments.
7. Act as a mentor to junior staff under the supervision of senior staff.
Skills, knowledge, expertise:
1. The candidate will be expected to be qualified or a finalist with a relevant professional qualification (preferably ACCA or ACA).
2. A pre-requisite is for the candidate to have experience of the preparation of statutory financial statements.
3. Experience of reviewing statutory accounts is desirable.
4. Computer literacy skills are essential.
5. Previous coaching/mentoring of junior staff would be beneficial.

You will need to be quick to learn new systems and great with people, as we value close working relationships with colleagues, clients and business contacts.
