Description Associate Procurement Officer Location: Whiteley, Hampshire, UK Looking for an opportunity to make an impact? Role Overview: Leidos are seeking an Associate Procurement Officer to support the UK business. The role will cover gathering and comparing quotations, ensuring prompt placement of orders, initial review of terms and conditions. Duties and Responsibilities: Reporting the Procurement Manager, you will be authorised to to negotiate and make binding decisions on behalf of the company, subject to appropriate approvals and serves as a primary interface between internal stakeholders and suppliers. Other duties include: - Prepares and issues RFQ's - Sources, negotiates and procures goods and services necessary for business operations - Applies procurement knowledge to business requirements to support effective procurement approaches. - Evaluates supplier proposal responses. - Conducts price and cost analysis. - Monitors performance of suppliers - Interacts with stakeholders as required - Analyse risk and Identify risk mitigation - Place Purchase orders in accordance with Leidos Policies and Procedures - Support senior staff and management as directed - Ensures prompt payment for suppliers in accordance with contractual obligations Skills Required: - Strong organisational, written and oral communication skills - Must be able to work independently, establish priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision - Must be able to work with teammates and suppliers to ensure delivery of project requirements on time and within budge - Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment - Attention to detail and problem-solving skills, strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise work Skills Desired: - CIPS or studying for CIPS - Experience negotiating terms and conditions Clearance Requirements: - Clearance to Start BPSS - Clearance for Role SC - Hold or be able to hold UK SC clearance Make the best career decision ever.
