Job summary An exciting 3 or 4 day a week Band 7 temporary opportunity has arisen to join the rehab medicine physiotherapy team at the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI) in Newcastle upon Tyne. As an Advanced Physiotherapist in the medicine team, you will be responsible for ensuring the service is delivered to the highest standard, developing the rehabilitation service across this service area. The team covers the general medical wards at the RVI, including specialties of infectious diseases, dermatology and gastroenterology. The Physiotherapy service works closely with the multi-disciplinary team and so you must be an excellent team worker as well as able to work autonomously. You will lead a small team of physiotherapists and physiotherapy support staff and will be supported by an operational lead with access to peer supervision from advanced physiotherapists within medicine and older person's medicine. This role would be ideal for those looking to step into a Band 7 post to gain leadership and service improvement experience.
