Job Description
To further develop the Customs brokerage product in the marketplace through focus on Operations, Finances, Sales, People, Systems, and Culture in adherence to the company’s policy and procedures.
Tasks and Duties
1. Ensure all classification instructions for all shipments for all customers.
2. Monitor duty deferment usage and levels.
3. Monitor license/visa applications.
4. Ensure all new business is transitioned correctly.
5. Make 2 F2F calls per week – Retention/Sales.
6. Maintain a positive relationship with the Trade Compliance Manager and support all compliance efforts and trainings.
7. Promote productivity tools (e.g., using edoc, process management, customsware usage/Expo customs).
8. Audit of files in accordance to AEO.
9. Follow up refunds with customs authorities.
10. Management of customs system.
11. Send client report requests through the available database (expo request, expo reporting).
12. Provide content for customer reviews – duty/vat.
13. Be open to implementing new system changes and enhancements into your department.
14. Review and conduct staff appraisals and one to one meeting timely in line with the 3+1 Initiative.
15. Assist supervisor and key staff with goal setting and monitoring development.
Qualifications
Qualifications
1. Global logistics industry knowledge.
2. Good computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word).
3. Fluent in English.
4. Proven problem solving, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
5. 3-5 years of Customs Broker’s specific knowledge.
