Job Description What will you be doing? As a Mechanical Integrity (Stress) Engineer, you will join in our team in Rugby to support our activities within the Energy sector. Your main responsibilities will be: Perform detailed strength analysis of components in line with contract specifications, utilizing Finite Element (FE) techniques and traditional hand calculations to ensure compliance and reliability. Analyse components for plastic collapse, buckling, ratcheting, fatigue, rupture, and other critical failure modes to validate design integrity under various operating conditions. Assess components for natural frequency, vibration response, and heat transfer to ensure safe and effective performance under both operational and environmental conditions. Evaluate components to withstand loads from shock, impact, and dynamic operational stresses to ensure durability in real-world applications. Assist in defining suitable weld types, and perform strength and fatigue checks on welded joints to ensure robust and safe connections. I dentify design deficiencies through advanced analysis techniques, recommending improvements to enhance performance, safety, and reliability. As required, perform analysis on in-house and non-customer equipment, such as pressure test fixtures, to support internal needs and testing. Build and refine FE models, developing analysis plans to meet project requirements and ensure accurate simulation results. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentation materials, documenting analysis results and methodologies for internal and customer review. You are Passionate about engineering result-oriented proactive
