Job title: Personal Assistant / Support Worker
Location: Cardigan
Hours of work: Term time – 7.5 hours fortnightly (split 2.5hrs one week & 5hrs the other) from 15.00 to 17:30 and School Holidays – 15 hours fortnightly 09:00 – 16:00 or 10:00 – 17:00. To be worked flexibly in line with the needs of the employer.

I am a young man of 17 with cerebral palsy and learning difficulties who is an avid gamer and has a fun sense of humour.
My mobility is good in short stretches, but I will need help with my wheelchair for longer distances.
I am looking for a support worker to help me enjoy some of my favourite activities and to discover new experiences. Initially this will be for six months to cover maternity but with the potential for a permanent position in the future.
On a typical day out, I enjoy visiting charity shops and hunting for bargains, followed by a stop in a café for a hot chocolate. Weather permitting, I also like to visit the park.
At home I like to play games, specifically imaginary play, so a good imagination is essential.
I would also like my support worker to accompany me to the swimming pool. This would require transporting me to and from the location and assisting me when I am in the pool.
I am also happy for my support worker to find and suggest new activities which I may enjoy, as I’m very keen to experience new and exciting things to do.
