Role Overview
You will be required to support service users identified through the Criminal Justice System to reduce substance-misuse related harm to each individual and the wider community, and to help reduce reoffending. Work with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives, and promote recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination.
Responsibilities
1. Deliver excellent drug and alcohol services to service users with alcohol addiction, including support for significant others such as family members, friends, and carers, to facilitate positive outcomes.
2. Develop and deliver group/pod work programmes, such as Foundations of Recovery, working with other facilitators and professionals to design evidence-based groups covering relevant issues for service users.
3. Manage a caseload and coordinate assessments, evidence-based interventions (brief and structured), recovery planning, and aftercare planning.
4. Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring adherence to policies and safeguarding principles.
5. Deliver harm reduction advice, guidance, and education, including overdose prevention, blood-borne virus interventions, naloxone programmes, and other recovery interventions.
Requirements
* Experience working with clients with substance misuse addictions.
* Availability within a week's notice.
* Hays DBS or Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Hays will process a new DBS if needed).
