We are now seeking a proactive and experienced Sales Support Specialist to join our clients team and contribute to their continued success.
Location: Tilbury, Essex
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Role Requirements
1. A minimum of 1 year’s experience in a sales or support role is desirable.
2. A passion for learning and growing within the freight industry.
3. Some experience or strong interest in freight forwarding (sea, air, and road).
4. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
5. Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
7. A collaborative team spirit and a willingness to assist others.
8. Basic English and mathematics skills to handle quotes and customer communications effectively.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist the sales team in identifying and sourcing new business opportunities, both from your own efforts and through support from the Sales and Operations teams.
2. Help with preparing and organising quotations, ensuring that all key information is accurately included.
3. Provide administrative support to the sales department, such as tracking leads and updating customer records.
4. Support in both office and field activities, learning and assisting with customer interactions, as needed.
5. Collaborate closely with senior team members to understand customer requirements and industry trends.
6. Contribute to the smooth flow of sales operations by managing documentation and ensuring processes are followed.
7. Note: As the freight forwarding industry evolves, responsibilities may be adjusted to reflect operational needs.
