Electronics Development Engineer
About the Opportunity:
We are recruiting an Electronics Development Engineer for a leading manufacturing company on the Hertfordshire/Essex border. Specialising in cutting-edge electronic solutions, this company is known globally for its high-quality, innovative products. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to contribute to the development of industry-leading technologies in a dynamic and growing sector.
Role Overview:
1. Collaborating with design engineers to ensure products meet technical specifications.
2. Creating detailed test plans, procedures, and reports, while coordinating with external testing partners for EMC validation.
3. Designing and automating production tests, as well as investigating warranty issues.
4. Performing electrical design verification tests, accounting for worst-case scenarios, stress calculations, temperature effects, and safety regulations.
5. Analysing electronic circuits to identify and resolve issues, and working with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion.
6. Assisting with PCB fabrication processes and utilising design software such as Altium Designer (or similar). Experience with C/C++, CAN bus systems, and reverse engineering is a plus.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Minimum of 2 years' post-graduate experience in an R&D environment.
2. Test development experience.
3. Proficient in using electronic testing equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, signal generators) and familiar with EMC standards.
4. Strong analytical skills, with experience in electrical design verification testing and troubleshooting circuit designs.
5. Adaptable and flexible, capable of managing changing priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Educational Requirements:
A degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field is essential.
