We are seeking to recruit a Procurement Co-ordinator on a permanent basis to join our Contract Delivery Team.
The successful candidate will be someone with knowledge and skills suited to working in a busy contracting environment, working across several supply chains.
This role requires strong organisational planning, systems processing and data analysis skills. The post holders will support an enthusiastic team to coordinate and deliver project planning activity, related to existing contracts as well as developing and embedding best practice business processes and systems across the team.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare key stakeholder assessments for input to managing/developing contract solutions which ensure effective service delivery.
* Undertake research for new sources of supply for relevant commodities or services, conducting supplier appraisals as appropriate.
* Support the development, preparation and submission of a range of reports required to monitor the performance and effectiveness of suppliers and contracts.
* Assist in the successful implementation and management of contracts, through a cycle of continuous improvement, from initiation to expiry.
* Support delivery of Category B contract recommendations.
* Involved in assessing financial documentation submitted at tender stage.
* Work with User Intelligence Groups to develop and implement innovative procurement strategies.
* Negotiate with suppliers in accordance with policies and procedures, ensuring that the business is represented in an effective and professional manner.
Desired Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification or experience.
* Achieved, working toward or willing to work towards full membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent.
