Do you like meeting people from various backgrounds, initiating change and are able to drive and commute throughout the borough? Then this role will be for you!
Role Purpose:
This role is extremely rewarding in making a difference to people's lives. The role of the Specialist Stop Smoking Practitioner is to support the delivery of evidenced-based, equitable stop smoking services to help reduce the inequalities throughout the contracted localities. This will include the delivery of services within areas of most deprivation. It is essential that the postholder can work flexibly, independently, and as part of a team.
Main Duties of the Job
You will be a Smoking Cessation Advisor for Sandwell Smoking Cessation service:
* Provide evidence-based smoking cessation delivery across Sandwell.
* Deliver support in the areas of most disadvantage and highest need.
* Continuously develop methods and resources that ensure smoking cessation is embedded across the integrated service.
You will be a motivated, passionate, organised, and dedicated deliverer, with significant experience in working within a community or healthcare environment. ABL takes a strengths-focused, asset-based approach to community delivery, looking to innovate and partner, not replicate existing delivery. The role will require dynamic and flexible working, which embraces the vision and values we wish to establish for the Integrated Health Improvement Service around smoking cessation, ensuring an individual strengths-based approach to behaviour change.
