SEMHTeaching Assistant

Join our dedicated Special Emotional Mental Health school, committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs. We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEMHTeaching Assistant to empower every student to achieve their full potential.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored educational activities.
* Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
* Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
* Support students with personal care needs, if required.
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
* Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable.
* A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are preferred.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
