We are seeking an experienced Junior Contracts Manager Scheduler or Project Manager in the Commercial Joinery Building and Construction Industry. Ideally, you will have experience in joinery contracts management, dealing with high-value projects.
This remote position is part of the contracts management team, tracking projects from start to completion for an exciting, established, and developing company, with opportunities for career development. You will work closely with the team and receive continued training and development. You will be part of an industry-leading manufacturer of bespoke joinery products, including doors, wall panelling, etc.
You will deal with architects and main contractors, delivering projects within the health, education, leisure, and commercial sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to become a Contracts Project Manager within this expanding manufacturing business. Operating within the Production Planning team, you will manage individual jobs/contracts from their inception through to delivery to the customer.
Your Responsibilities
1. Liaising with the customer to determine requirements
2. Ordering bespoke materials from suppliers
3. Preparing production schedules for the factory
4. Monitoring progress of projects
5. Working closely with the Production Manager to establish delivery dates
6. Building and maintaining relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
Skills Required
1. Good verbal and written communication skills, able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
2. Computer literate - Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel
3. Knowledge of joinery products is essential
4. Ability to read architects' drawings
5. Knowledge of CAD and taking off from drawings is an advantage
6. Knowledge of joinery and/or doors contract management is an advantage
7. Ideally, candidates will come from a manufacturing/construction background and must be self-motivated, eager to learn and progress, and technically minded
