Vehicle Technician needed in Leeds Paying £22 per day ref 17544 Full time hours on a temporary basis Role Overview: Join Fleet Services as a Vehicle Technician responsible for the inspection, servicing, repair, and maintenance of the fleet of commercial, heavy goods, and specialist municipal vehicles. Ensure all work complies with statutory regulations and Council policy. Key Responsibilities: Accurate Fault Diagnosis: Identify and diagnose vehicle and specialist equipment defects accurately. Specialist Tools Management: Proper use and care of specialist tools provided for repair and maintenance. Maintenance & Repair: Conduct all work efficiently in accordance with the specified repair policy. Inspect, service, repair, maintain, and diagnose faults on the full range of vehicles as directed. Reporting & Documentation: Report any defects revealed or observed during any repair process. Complete all job-related documentation required for management and charging purposes, including data input into computer systems. Safety & Compliance: Carry out all work in a safe manner, observing all relevant safety procedures, including "on-site" work where directed. Comply with requirements related to the use of GPS mobile workshop vehicles. Work Measurement: Vehicle repairs will be measured against scheduled repair times as documented in ICME, Autodata manuals, and pre-planned service times agreed through consultation with Technicians.
