The post will include training and development opportunities to build knowledge and skills in HTA, including building experience with the appraisal of health economic evaluations, critique and manipulation of economic models, and development of economic models de novo using R and/or Microsoft Excel (including VBA). You will have an important role in generating evidence about the cost effectiveness of emerging health technologies, including drugs and medical devices, impacting treatments available to patients within the NHS.
About You
The successful applicant will be enthusiastic about health economic evaluation of health technologies and eager to develop their knowledge and skills while having a direct impact on patients' lives. There is a substantial training element to this post, though applicants are expected to understand the fundamentals of health economic theory and evaluation.
Applicants should have excellent communication skills, including writing skills, the ability to explain technical details to a non-technical audience, and be willing to ask questions and voice their opinions.
