Why this job matters
As our UK Secure Network Implementation Engineer, you'll support service execution for multiple customer accounts, proactively managing customer needs to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction, and that expectations are met and surpassed. You'll be required to be proficient in configuring CE devices such as Cisco Routers, Switches, Meraki, MX, MS, MR and Fortinet devices across the Commercial & Secure Portfolio on both Commercial & SSP Management platforms.
This will require a strong base in traditional routing & switching knowledge, SD-WAN features/devices are desirable, and BT internal systems knowledge is preferable also. Knowledge will be needed to facilitate integration and implementation of customer networks and also use of these skills to deliver a RFT solution which meets customer’s needs.
What you’ll be doing
1. Following delivery procedures to produce working configurations, diagrams and instructions for engineers, in line with the Design Patterns
2. Attending customer or project meetings as required to ensure an exceptional customer experience for the solution being provided
3. Writing configuration changes and remotely accessing the customer’s network to deploy configuration changes
4. Producing / maintaining clear and concise Site-Specific Documentation
5. Providing remote support to onsite engineers during solution deployment including troubleshooting & resolving issues

What we'd like to see on your CV
1. Knowledge of networking principles and understanding of LAN, WAN, SD-WAN & Wireless networking solutions, including vendor Accreditation and/or Relevant Experience - Cisco CCNA or equivalent - with solid CLI experience in deploying and troubleshooting Cisco router & switches. Along with knowledge of Meraki SD-WAN, Fortinet SD-WAN & Cisco SD-WAN (Viptella &, Wireless being desirable but not essential)
2. Excellent stakeholder management with a professional and pragmatic approach to work
3. Problem solving mindset and associated skills
4. Solid IT knowledge and appreciation of holistic IT solutions, with an firm understanding of the IT Managed Services sector including solid skills in office software, to be able to operate and use business tools / systems day to day without any issues
5. The successful candidate must be willing to undergo Government Security Clearance to SC level, which requires residence in the UK for a minimum of 5 years

This role offers a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.
