Main duties of the job
What you'll be responsible for:
* Assessing and monitoring patient conditions and arranging diagnostic tests
* Recognising deterioration in the physical or mental condition of a patient and taking appropriate action/ escalation
* Recognising, responding to, and managing emergency situations
* Displaying excellent analytical ability and sound decision making in changing clinical situations
* Recognising limitations and escalating concerns
* The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above

Job responsibilities
Job Title: Nurse Team Leader Community Mental Health
Location: Whiteleaf Centre
Pay Rates: Day £21.80 per hour
Sat/Nights £28.30 per hour
Sun/Bank Hols £34.87 per hour
Contract length: On going full time
Shift Patterns: Mon-Fri, 9-5 but occasional duty late shifts 12-8pm and occasional duty weekends.

What you can add:
* Offer assessments and interventions to our patient group of older adults with mental health needs. Manage a caseload of patients with a variety of mental health conditions both functional and organic as well as supporting our duty and triage function.
* Be organised, flexible and committed to delivering the highest possible care to our client group. Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good IT skills are essential.
* Ideally experience of working in older adult mental health services and understand the challenges that working with this client group brings.
* However, any transferrable skills and motivation to learn about our client group would be appreciated.
What you'll need: qualification/experience:
* A minimum of 6 months paid experience in a similar role working for a UK hospital within the last 3 years
* Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices.
*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* All Registered Nurse roles will be required to provide evidence of:
* Statement of NMC Registration
* Degree /Diploma in Nursing
* A car and valid UK driving license.
Experience
* A minimum of 6 months paid experience in a community environment within the last 2 years.
