Job summary Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bookkeeper and payroll clerk to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive bookkeeping and financing oversight using the Xero platform along with collating all payroll information for processing via our external Payroll bureau. Whilst you do not need to be ACA or ACCA qualified, we are looking for someone who has overseen these duties before with a minimum of 2 years Xero and payroll experience. Main duties of the job Utilise the Xero platform to reconcile incoming and outgoing payments with the relevant remittance via Invoicing or payments. To ensure correct coding of all transactions. To assist with forecasting and cash management of the practice. To assist with rising cost / pay increase forecasting and presenting all information to the partners for discussion. To chase payments and ensure timely processing of bills received. To provide a cost saving analysis each month along with potential suggestions and recommendations. To be the primary point of contact with our external third party accountants for year end, month end, estimated pensions etc. To prepare the accounts along with the third party accountants for forecasting and diarise meetings and appointments. Various ad-hoc duties as the bookkeeper. To gather all metrics for payroll including overtime, sickness, deductions, enhanced payments, SSP, maternity pay, Cycle 2 work and any other payroll payments / deductions that need to be processed. To verify all data and received from our third party payroll bureau that the data entry is correct. To investigate and discrepancies and take appropriate action. To be the point of contact for all pension queries (support via payroll bureau or NHS Pensions online). To process leavers correctly and calculating their unused/overtaken holiday, any sickness deductions and advanced payments. To be the primary contact for the third party payroll bureau.
