Clinical Office Administrator, Neurology, Stroke and Palliative Care

An exciting opportunity has arisen to further improve the Neurology Department at St Peters Hospital.
This 37.5 hour role of Clinical Office Administrator is required to provide administrative support to the Neurology Consultants and the clinical office. Candidates are required to have high levels of organisational skills and be good at communicating with a wide range of health care professionals as well as patients and their relatives.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Neurology and Stroke Consultants and the Clinical Office Co-ordinators. This will include answering patient phone calls, completing clinical letters, and addressing any queries the Neurology Consultants have. Additionally, the role will involve supporting the Neuroscience Nurses in the absence of the Nurse's admin support.
You will be working in a busy office and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the clinical office. You will act as a point of contact for patients and nurses.
You will be expected to support your colleagues and Team Leader in the Clinical Office by completing administrative duties.
Job responsibilities
Successful candidates need to have competent computer skills with English GCSE as a minimum and experience in using the Microsoft Office package.
You need to have previous admin experience of working in a busy office dealing with conflicting demands. It is important in this role to be able to communicate effectively and take personal responsibility.
