Job Description
Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a Transport Planner to join our Transport team at our Rugby site.
As Transport Planner you will contribute to the success of the transport team, you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day to day challenges in providing an effective transport plan.
Working hours:
* Monday to Friday nights, 10 hour shift.
* Flexibility with start/finish times between 18.00-21.00 start and 04.00-07.00 finish.
Salary: £31,656 per annum
Key Duties of a Transport Planner:
* Planning daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and out bases
* Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that may arise
* Planning collections per day on a time critical basis
* Maintaining and exceeding agreed KPI’s
* Proactively look for continuous improvements
* Be able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale
* Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business particularly at peak periods during the year
* Efficiently utilise the Culina Group network in support Stobart’s when volumes dictate.
Qualifications
* Good geographical knowledge of the UK
* Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Work and Outlook
* Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment
* Customer focus on delivery performance
* Commercially and Financially astute and driven to deliver exceptional results.
* Experience of using a TMS system
* Experience in an FMCG environment
