I am collaborating with a respected building consultancy in Central London, we are searching for a competent Senior/Associate CDM Principal Designer to join the team. The commercially focused practice delivers projects in London and surrounding home counties.
We are looking for a professional forward thinking CDM/Principal Designer, ideally you will come from a proven consultancy background and have strong construction experience.
The opportunity is to be a key member of the H&S CDM team, you will manage an impressive client portfolio which includes global investors and corporate occupiers including M&G, Aviva and L&G. Daily responsibilities
Experienced in the delivery of the statutory duty of Principal Designer and the non-statutory roles of Principal Designer Advisor and Client CDM Advisor under the CDM Regulations 2015.
Identify, assess, prepare and communicate Pre-Construction Information on behalf of Clients
Identify and, where reasonably practicable eliminate, reduce or control foreseeable risks that may arise during pre-construction phase, via Design Risk Review Workshops / Safety in Design Reviews
Understand/evaluate Construction Phase Plans, Method Statements, Design Risk Management & Risk Registers.
Undertake the role, duties and responsibilities to assist Clients, Principal Designers, Designers and Principal Contractors in understanding their statutory duties and ensuring the design process is compliant to CDM 2015 regulations.
Undertake Health & Safety Site Inspections and produce reports in accordance with current regulations.
Assist and support, in the continual development and improvement of the CDM consultancy services.
Manage and deliver several projects within a financial and time target.
Senior/Associate CDM Principal Designer
Construction related degree (desirable)
Minimum of 18 month in a similar role
NEBOSH in Construction or equivalent qualification
Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body.
Excellent understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Full UK driver’s licence
