Robert Half Finance and Accounting are recruiting for a Financial Controller to join a progressive business based in Harrogate. You will be instrumental in overseeing financial operations while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. You will play a key role in internal audits, financial reporting, and supporting the company's goals through robust processes. Your expertise will enhance strategic decision-making and maintain the integrity of financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
2. Lead internal audit processes to ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and external regulations.
3. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
4. Analyse financial data and identify areas for process improvement.
5. Preparation of statutory accounts.
6. Work closely with external auditors and collaborate on audit documentation requirements.
7. Ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting guidelines, including statutory audits.
Requirements:
1. ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified Financial Controller
2. Proven experience in financial reporting and internal audit processes
3. Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
4. Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
5. Effective communication skills to convey complex financial information simply and clearly.
