Job Build Technician / Planner – Severn Trent Location: Derby, Pride Park Agency: Morson Talent (recruiting on behalf of Severn Trent) Salary: £13.37 per hour (All Hours), £20.05 (Overtime & Saturday), £26.74 (Sunday & Bank Holidays) 6 month contract (with possible extension/perm roles) About the Role Morson Talent is excited to be recruiting on behalf of Severn Trent, one of the UK's leading water companies, for a Job Build Technician / Planner to join their Workforce Planning & Optimisation team in Derby. Severn Trent provides essential water services to millions of households and businesses across the UK, and we're looking for a dedicated individual to support their continued success. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring compliance and operational efficiency by creating detailed permits and work packs, setting up Severn Trent's field teams for safe and effective emergency and planned works. Your Key Responsibilities Organising and preparing all necessary job information, including arranging traffic management and securing approvals from local authorities. Building compliant work packs and permits that allow operational teams to conduct essential maintenance and installations with precision and care. Coordinating with various stakeholders such as highway authorities, field managers, planning authorities, and more, to ensure jobs are set up to be completed successfully on the first go. Work Schedule This position operates on an 11-week rota, including two weekends within that cycle. Shifts include: Early Shift: 06:30 - 14:30 (2 weeks of 11) Day Shift: 08:00 - 16:00 (7 weeks of 11) Late Shift: 12:00 - 20:00 (2 weeks of 11) Weekend shifts are between 06:30 – 14:30 (2 weeks of 11). As a bonus, you'll finish 30 minutes earlier every Friday on early and day shifts, and start 30 minutes later on Friday for late shifts. This role is based at Severn Trent's modern Pride Park site in Derby, where you'll enjoy free parking and excellent transport links.
