Head of Energy - FM contract, West London
You will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of energy-related services for our clients. You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategies to optimize energy efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance sustainability across various facilities and properties. Leveraging your expertise in energy management, you will provide innovative solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, driving positive environmental impact and financial savings.
Leadership and Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive energy management strategies aligned with client objectives and industry best practices. Provide leadership and guidance to the energy team to ensure successful implementation of initiatives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact for energy-related matters. Energy Audits and Assessments: Conduct thorough energy audits and assessments of client facilities to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Analyze energy consumption patterns, identify inefficiencies, and recommend practical solutions to enhance energy performance.
Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Implement robust monitoring systems to track energy consumption, performance metrics, and savings achievements. Continuously analyze data to identify trends, deviations, and opportunities for further optimization.
Renewable Energy Integration: Evaluate the feasibility and benefits of integrating renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and geothermal into client facilities. Develop strategies for incorporating renewable energy technologies to reduce reliance on traditional energy sources and mitigate environmental impact.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant energy regulations, standards, and compliance requirements. Ensure that client facilities adhere to all applicable regulations and assist in obtaining necessary certifications and accreditations.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, contractors, and regulatory agencies to coordinate energy-related activities effectively. Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork to drive successful project outcomes.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in energy management practices. Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and industry advancements to enhance service offerings and deliver added value to clients.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven experience in energy management, sustainability, or related field, with a minimum of 10 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of energy conservation principles, building systems, and renewable energy technologies.
Experience conducting energy audits, developing energy management plans, and implementing energy efficiency measures.
Proficiency in energy modeling software, data analysis tools, and performance monitoring systems.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management, project oversight, and strategic planning.
Certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation are desirable.
