Brief:
As a Senior Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the Department General Manager (DGM), Managers, and other team leaders in managing investment risk, evaluating new opportunities, and overseeing existing investments. Reporting to the DGM through a Manager, your key tasks will include analysis and recommendations for investment decisions, working with business units to support deal sourcing and execution, and ongoing monitoring of portfolio performance to ensure growth and profitability. This position will also involve collaboration with corporate teams on strategic development initiatives.
Responsibilities:
* Support the department by evaluating and recommending whether SCEU management should proceed with investment or divestment opportunities, including managing internal applications.
* Act as an "in-house advisor" to business departments, assisting with deal sourcing and execution, while collaborating with corporate teams after management approval.
* Monitor the performance of subsidiaries and affiliates, ensuring profitability and growth through effective budget control and decision-making, including handling internal applications.
* Advise SCEU's subsidiaries on operational efficiency and business performance improvements.
* Collaborate with Unit General Managers to support corporate development and strategic initiatives.
* Provide support to the Regional Investment and R&D Investment Committees as secretariat.
* Contribute to the Full Potential Plan and ongoing "asset recycling" program.
Profile & Experience
* Background in investment banking, consulting, private equity (PE), or relevant experience in investment.
* Newly qualified accountants are also preferred.
* University degree required; postgraduate qualifications preferred.
* Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.
* Analytical, inquisitive, and eager to learn.
* Self-starter who thrives on challenges.
