• To support ENT clinics in the ENT OPD at University Hospital Coventry and in community ENT clinics held in Coventry and Warwickshire
• The post holder will work closely with the wider ENT team to provide and support the specialist urgent care and routine care to ENT paediatric and adult patients
• To maintain day to day running of ENT clinics

• Actively supports the ENT CNS team with education and training in practice to a range of staff, students and associated internal and external staff within the emergency and primary care setting students through clinical supervision/facilitation as appropriate
• Maintain responsibility for own professional and specialist development/education.
• Support the ENT team with the maintenance of ENT equipment, reporting/escalating any concerns, damage or breakages of equipment as a priority, ensuring that the service is not compromised due to faulty/broken equipment
• To work in partnership with the ENT CNSs to support the development of a sustainable nursing team, providing an effective ENT outpatient service.
• Be responsible for supporting a team of nurses, allocating tasks in the absence of the ENT CNS’s when required whilst ensuring a fair delegation of work
• The post holder will be flexible to the needs of the service and having a willingness and understanding to cover other colleagues’ absence and leave to provide a seamless service.
• Liaise with staff in the wider ENT team to discuss governance issues and have an active role in supporting clinical governance and service development.
• Actively and positively participate in service and departmental meetings to aid service delivery and improve service.
• To be aware of, and comply with, the fire policy and procedures for control of infection.
• To always maintain confidentiality of patients and their relatives.
• Maintain responsibility for own professional and specialist development and registration
• Participate in regular performance appraisal +/- associated staff as required.
