About the Role
As a Trainee Building Control Surveyor you will work across all disciplines within Building Control and attend level 4 and 5 diploma in Building Control Surveying delivered through LABC. The course is delivered weekly online with the possibility of two residential weeks per year.
On the days when you are not attending taught classes you will work in the team supporting the Building Control team and learning on the job.
This role offers an opportunity to work in a busy high-profile environment, so practical experience of working in Building Control or other regulatory settings is desirable.
As knowledge and competence develops, you will be required to undertake a case load of reactive work, including responding to and investigating complaints, as well as proactive project work, enforcement and educational activities where required.
This role and progression will depend upon successful completion of the level 4 and 5 diplomas and obtaining your Registered Building Inspector licence.
This role will require regular travel to sites. Therefore, you will need a full and current driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.
About You
You will have the drive and enthusiasm required to undertake the study to obtain level 4 and 5 diploma in Building Control Surveying and obtain your Registered Building Inspector licence, whilst undertaking work based activities.
