What will I be doing as a Maintenance Technician?
* You’ll use your skills to maintain electrical and diagnostic equipment, making sure health and safety is the priority. To ensure maximum availability of equipment you will run a preventative maintenance and cleaning program whilst ensuring that best practice is applied.
What are the requirements?
* In terms of qualifications, you’ll need an ONC/NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering and the current 18th edition wiring regulations certification. A Health & Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH/NEBOSH) would be helpful but isn’t essential, as this can be gained.
* It’s more important that you have worked in a maintenance role in a similar operation and dealt with continuous production. Thanks to this background, you’ll know about electric motors and conveyor systems.
