Our client a growing specialist manufacturing business based in Sheffield, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join their finance team for a 12 month contract to support through a period of change. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role will focus on finance reporting and management accounts for the operational side of the business. If you thrive in a manufacturing environment and have a strong analytical mindset, we’d love to hear from you Key Responsibilities: Prepare and submit monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations for group companies, investigating and explaining variances, stock movements, and losses. Provide analysis and commentary on variances and communicate findings with key stakeholders. Assist in developing and improving existing reports and KPIs. Partner with operations to discuss budgets, forecasts, and variances, fostering strong collaboration between finance and operations. Develop monthly reports and commentaries analysing variances between actual and expected project costs, providing insights into project performance. Support ad-hoc projects and tasks aligned with finance and business objectives. Essential Skills & Experience: Part-Qualified/Qualified CIMA/ACCA or Qualified by Experience. Proven experience in management accounting within a manufacturing business. Strong knowledge of margin analysis, standard costing, and project accounting. Excellent finance business partnering skills, with the ability to communicate financial data effectively. Strong analytical skills, with experience in ERP systems and data manipulation. Proficiency in Excel and strong IT skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Professional Qualities: Represents the company professionally and upholds core values.
