Job Description:
CYBER SECURITY SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER
A Senior Project Manager is needed to work on complex cyber security projects requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. The individual will lead functional project teams, participate in cross-functional initiatives, and provide mentorship to junior staff. They should act as an expert in process improvements and policy establishment, and represent the organization externally. The candidate must have experience managing multiple projects across different clients, familiarity with Project Management methodologies, and the ability to quickly understand new environments and build relationships. Eligibility for SC clearance is required.
Responsibilities
1. Coordinate and integrate work efforts of large, multi-function, multi-vendor project teams.
2. Manage projects spanning multiple regions or countries.
3. Handle projects with aggressive deadlines.
4. Possess authority in project management methods.
5. Articulate DXC Security’s POV on Cyber Security at a generalist level.
6. Identify and manage escalations effectively.
7. Mentor and train junior project managers.
8. Define and Develop
o Ensure proper handover from Sales and Solutioning.
o Define project scope, plan, budget, and schedule.
o Build and manage the financial model for the project.
9. Manage
o Manage project team activities to meet targets and budget.
o Control Cost, Time, Scope, Risks, and Changes.
o Manage client expectations and relationships.
o Ensure projects meet quality standards.
o Plan and manage resources.
10. Reporting
o Monitor and report project progress, finances, and status to stakeholders.
11. Communication
o Coordinate project activities and prioritize tasks.
o Ensure understanding of milestones and targets within and outside the project.
12. Business Development
o Identify and develop new opportunities with clients.
o Support opportunity qualification and assessment.
o Manage medium to high-risk deals.
13. Experience and Knowledge
o Deep understanding of Project Management Methodologies.
o PMI or Prince 2 (Practitioner) qualification.
o Experience managing security projects in the IT industry.
o Skills in Planning, Cost Estimation, Risk Management, Performance, Quality & Delivery Assurance.
o Excellent stakeholder management skills.
o Experience with security projects like Identity and Access Management, Data Protection, etc.
o Experience in IT service delivery.
