Newsletter and Social Media Manager, City AM:
City AM is seeking a talented and creative individual to join our team as Newsletter and Social Media Manager. Reporting directly to the Managing Editor, you will be responsible for curating and editing engaging content across our digital platforms, including our website, social media channels, and growing stable of newsletters.
Responsibilities:
1. Newsletters:
Responsibility for the curation and publication of City AM’s newsletters. Analyze the newsletters’ reach and growth in order to support editorial strategy.
2. Content Editing and Digital Curation:
Assist with editing reporters’ online copy and ensuring all copy meets high standards of digital publishing best practices. Work with editors to identify and flag news stories and opportunities for digital success. Optimize content for SEO to improve search engine visibility.
3. Social Media Management:
Manage all social media channels (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn) and develop platform-specific publishing strategies. Create and schedule engaging social media posts, including text, images, and videos. Work with the Head of Video and Audio to grow our social media following and engagement. Stay up-to-date on social media trends and best practices. Data and analytics monitoring and reporting across social media platforms.
4. Website Management:
Assist with website updates and content management. Ensure website content is engaging, current, and consistent with our brand guidelines. Collaborate with the commercial and operational teams on website improvements and new initiatives.
5. Analytics & Reporting:
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for website traffic, social media engagement, and email marketing campaigns - working closely with City AM’s data analytics team. Generate regular reports on content performance and provide insights to inform future strategies.
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Keen interest in and awareness of City AM's editorial proposition. Strong understanding of social media publishing best practices. Experience with SEO and content optimization. Proficiency in Wordpress, Mailchimp, OneSignal, and other content management tools. Basic image and video editing, and graphic design skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for digital media and staying up-to-date on the latest trends.
