Description Job Title: Young Person Support worker (Primary Age) Reporting to: Social Care Manager/ Case Manager Hours: A team to provide the following hours: up to 45 hours per week (job share) including weekend support. These hours maybe split shifts depending on the needs of the family. Zero Hour contract in blocks of 12 weeks. Wages: £18.00 - £20.00 Location: Bournemouth, Dorset. Role: To create stability for the young person and develop their life skills and opportunities through a range of home-based activities. Experience/Qualifications TBI Experience: Practical experience working with young people who have experienced a traumatic brain injury (TBI), including understanding the potential impacts on cognitive, emotional, and physical functioning. Behavioural Support: Experience in managing challenging behaviours, particularly in relation to the emotional and psychological effects of TBI, using appropriate de-escalation techniques. Knowledge of Neuro-rehabilitation: Understanding of neuro-rehabilitation principles and how they apply to TBI recovery, including supporting cognitive rehabilitation and physical recovery goals. Level 3 Qualification : The support worker should hold at least a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, Children and Young People, or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in care practice and safeguarding.
