We are seeking an experienced Business Rates Officer to support our client’s small team during its busiest quarter. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of Business Rates and the ability to perform key tasks independently. Working arrangements: Local candidates: Hybrid working with an office day on Tuesdays. Remote candidates: Fully remote options available for experienced candidates. Business Rates Officer - About The Role Key Responsibilities: Managing VOA uploads, valuations, and schedules using the NEC system (formerly Northgate). Handling business rates accounts and responding to inquiries. Performing Level 1 and Level 2 duties (excluding site visits). The successful Business Rates Officer will have: Strong knowledge of Business Rates legislation and practices. Proficiency with the NEC system for valuation and account management. Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
