Applications are invited for the post of Fixed Term Consultant in Gastroenterology with interest in Advanced Endoscopy, based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. This is an exciting opportunity to develop special expertise in advanced endoscopy.
Aberdeen Royal Infirmary has a large and busy tertiary level Endoscopy service providing the full range of complex therapeutic procedures. Opportunities would be tailored following negotiation with the successful candidate and could include advanced polypectomy / EMR (upper & lower), RFA, ERCP and/or EUS. There is no requirement for ward work or on call.
Involvement in the active clinical research of the department would be encouraged.
This is a full-time post for a fixed term period of 1 Year. It will consist of a mix of duties to be confirmed with successful candidate including endoscopy lists, out-patient clinic plus time for administration, continued professional development and research activities.
Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register from date of interview. Alternatively, applicants should possess a CESR / CESR (CP).
