IT SUPPORT ENGINEER CMB Recruitment is working with a long established and market-leading manufacturing company based in North Down which is seeking an IT Support Engineer. Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Support Engineer will be responsible for providing hardware and software support and maintenance. This represents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious IT Engineer to develop their career. THE ROLE Act as service owner for one or more global applications Maintain accurate service descriptions for own services and support the implementation of new or changed services Provide 2nd level support for assigned services Participate in projects aimed at improving IT systems and processes Software support and maintenance for local IT applications Provide on-site hardware support, maintenance, and diagnostics e.g., for desktops, printers, telephone system, and production machinery Maintain detailed records of all support requests and resolutions Proactively develop knowledge surrounding IT systems and business process requirements Provide technical expertise to various departments as required THE PERSON Hold a third level qualification in IT, Computer Science, or related technical field, or equivalent experience Minimum 3 years experience in IT support, or related field (can be during university placement) Proven experience providing 2nd level support for business applications Experience engaging with business units to improve IT processes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Able to work unsupervised SALARY Our client is offering an extremely attractive salary and benefits package to attract high quality candidates, dependent upon the successful candidates experience and capabilities.
